At first I thought it was a brilliant purchase, not to small not too big, was ideal for what I wished to use it for. However I received this laptop Thursday and by the Sunday it failed to work; there was a fault with the system therefore not allowing me to log in to the main computer. The fault could not be fixed automatically and there was nothing I could do to fix it. I took the computer to Curry's to get their opinion in which they told me there was a fault with the system and to contact the seller. Previous reviews on this laptop persuaded me to purchase it, big mistake. However Amazon have been brilliant as they were easy to contact and straight away offered me a new laptop in return of my old one. The laptop unfortunately was out of stock, Amazon then gave me a full refund and collected the laptop the following day. Superb customer service; shame about the laptop though.

I wanted a small laptop so I could be carried round easily. so I read reviews on laptops and decided to purchase this model and have not been disappointed. The laptop was delivered as per instructions. I was happy to say the the laptop was undamaged. I had some help getting me started with the set up, but Having Windows 7 preloaded on the laptop was fantastic. I have the internet and have now put other programmes on there. I am trying to keep this very simple and not go into too many details. Just wanted to say thank you so much for such an easy to use laptop.

Bought this for my daughter. She is thrilled with it. The laptop was in perfect condition and delivered at 10.15 am the day after the order was placed. We are very happy with the product and it is ideal for our daughter's school work.

It is easy to use and easy for me to cope with altogether I am very pleased with it. I had a more complicated laptop which as a pensioner I found very difficult.

I wanted a small and simple laptop that I can use to complete word and excel documents for my various projects and I must say I am delighted with this product.

At 11.6 inches it sits comfortably on my lap. I was very surprised at how lightweight it is! Noiseless, sleek and sturdy case I am pleased with the quality of it. I paid for this whilst it was on sale and it has gone up since. I'm sure it will go in to sale again and if it does you'll buy a good bargain with this machine.

Without using power draining apps or watching videos/listening to music you can get between 2 - 3 hours on one battery charge just by simply browsing the internet. The charger that is supplied is small and ideal for people who don't want to carry much. I've had the Ideapad sat on my lap now for an hour and it hasn't overheated but be aware the vent on the net book is at the back of the bottom panel. If you sit crossed legged (like I do) and rest the ideapad on your lap then it will cover this vent.

The laptop does not have a CD drive which may be a problem for some but you can pick up an external one for about £8 on Amazon if you need one.

I haven't used the Quick Start feature - I don't feel that I want to really because Windows 7 (supplied) does load quick enough for me. Programs are quick to load and the computer doesn't struggle with having a video/music playing and copying/pasting/running files/programs etc at the same time. With the AMD Radeon HD graphics card and 4GB RAM I can play a lot of online games (from Steam) without issue!

If you want a nice laptop that is simplistic, simple to use and reliable then go for this model. If you want something that is more media and games focused then I suggest you look elsewhere.

bought this for hdmi out, usb 3.0, and not been disappointed, 4 gig ddr3 ram is fast and 18 watts average power usage is awesome, led backlit screen, really nice bit of kit for the money.....no down sides.........
