Bought one of these after being impressed with the quality of another Amazon Basics cable I had purchased. Nice quality cable and thicker than the more expensive one this replaces. Would recommend.

I have paid 20 pounds for these cables previously from currys, this cable does exactly the same for a fraction of the price,

It is a cable that transfers digitale optical signals from one device to another ... blah, blah, blah...
Yes, it is a cable, it is the right length for what I needed.
It carries a digital signal, so the quality of the cable is irrelevant - 1's and 0's are always 1's and 0's...

Highly recommended. I have had a few wires from this Amazon's Basics range and they all have been working great. They come at a good price too.

I needed a digital optical audio cable to connect my Apple TV to my Samsung home cinema. I ordered this one because it could be delivered next day, also it was cheap. However, the plugs do not fit either device, so it was a complete waste of time. I have also tried the cable on an LG home cinema, but no luck there either. Rubbish product.

This so-called 'basics' item is great value, I certainly wouldn't wast money on a more expensive alternative. The plugs fit snugly into to sockets on the back of my TV and amplifier. The cable itself is nice and flexible, which is useful when arranging it behind my equipment so that it's not visible from the front. The sound comes through nice and clear.

You can't go wrong with an AmazonBasics Toslink cable - simple, straight forward packaging and a good all round quality cable. Like some of the other reviews have mentioned, the flexibility of the cable is a welcome treat, unfortunately most cables are extremely ridged, but the Amazon Basics cable is a pleasant change!

Does the job. Unlike some fragile leads, this one has a robust outer casing which prevents you damaging the fibre by bending the cable too much. Similar characteristics to the Apple power cord...

This cable has made a big difference to the quality of our surround sound system. It's a fairly basic Sony system which came as part of a package with the TV but I was not impressed with it and was considering buying something more up market. But this cable seems to have brought the system to life and the sound quality is much more vibrant so I will be keeping the system for now and save some money. A very worthwhile and cheap upgrade in my opinion.

tried fitting this into the rear of my ps3, panasonic 5.1 and panasonic tv and it wouldn't fit fully into any and therefore wouldn't work. Will be sending it back.
