Worth every penny an excellent bit of kit , lovely picture for a budget price , one the down side only 1 scart socket , not really a down side as it has 2 HDMI 's , it also has usb port , its all good really.

I purchased this item for my elderly parents and it is the first flat screen television they have ever owned! Set-up is quite easy and its quick to tune. Playing around with the menus you can get a really good, balanced picture, but the jury is still out on the sound quality. There are ample connectors for games consoles, etc including phono sockets, scart and HDMI. All round great value for anybody on a budget.

I bought this telly for my sons room. He aminly uses it for gaming(it has a gaming mode for sound and picture).Also great for watching telly as good picture and sound.Nice clear menus and programme guide etc.
Great for price bracket.

The LG tv has met all expectations - easy set-up and good clear picture - the clear voice sound option allows voice commentary to come through clearly over backgroung sound - a vast improvement over previous tv - would choose and recommend LG in future

great value for money. LG always delivers when it comes to TVs - actual delivery was quick and installation was simple. colour and eco options work well for different lighting and can always run my movies off my usb hard drive

I needed a decent flatscreen tv for my bedroom and after browsing various sites I came across this one. It offers everything I was looking for (full hd) (42 inch screen) and a good quality build that I knew I could trust. This tv looks great in my room and it even has a usb port for watching vids from a usb stick or other storage device. What also blew me away was how many file types it supports, avi, mp4, divx, mkv, the lot! Not many tvs for twice the price offer as much.
Very happy with my purchase.

I had this as a replacement for a broken down toshiba, and wow what a difference.

The picture quality is superb, i have mine on the eco setting and its crystal clear, very sharp and in perfect focus.
No bittiness or softness.

Volume is brilliant, i barely have it pass number 8.

I have it synched to my computer to play videos from and iplayer etc and it installed with hardly an issues, only one being that it automatically jumped to being my main computer screen and i had to manually drag all my icons from the tv back to my desktop monitor but that was it.

I am super happy, the thing is huge, very easy to put together, feels very secure, im happy in the knowledge that there are 8 screws holding the stand inside the tv.

That was the biggest bonus for me that the stand actually slotted inside the bottom of the tv for additional stability.

Its very nice to look at, very pleasing to the eye.
Anyway, im happy, love it and would buy it again and again !!

The lg 42in lcd tv is excellent value for money, picture quality and audio very good. Remote control very responsive useful having both a scart socket and 2 hdmi inputs. Have also connected an hd pvr and now receive the 4hd channels which are superb quality, especially the bbc
