I have a Samsung 40" LED and it was purchased as I'm sick of looking at the HDMI cables protruding from the side of the TV. As the hinge on the cable is so thick I can't position the cable in a way to to attach the cable to the TV. Had one end been reversed from the other i.e. the hinge on the left on one end and on the right on the other end then it would probably fit.

Bit of design flaw too be honest.

Using them in a Sony DVD player where the HDMI sockets are 3 and on a horizontal plane. The width of the ends on these cables are so wide that I can only fit them in side by side if they are slightly skewed. If the idea in getting swivel heads is to get a less strain on the output sockets then this is not ideal. The Sony Bravia Sync is working fine, which it wouldn't with cheaper cables. Having a problem with sharing the Ethernet connection, this may a lack of knowledge on my part, or lack of facility on part of Sony TV/DVD player combo.

A good quality cable that gives good results. The flexibility of the plug ends make it easy to use in any position.

Can see these cables being particularly useful in difficult to fit places or occasions when conventional fittings might stick out beyond equipment when attached near outer edges. No discernible differences in quality of audio or video over other inexpensive HDMI cables but a good solid buy.

This cable is easy to connect especially to my Panasonic TV with side HDMI sockets, since you can angle the connections. Also flat cable is very compact and easy to route to keep out of sight.

I had a problem when connected to my Panasonic Bluray BDT210 the signal was broken and choppy. When I swapped to my old QED HMDI cable it was fine. I then connect it to my Sony HDD player which worked fine.

Perhaps the shielding / noise is not as good with this Amazon Basics cable, so be aware of this when making connections if you have problems.

I needed a cable that could give me a tight bend and looked at £70 cables with a 90 degree plug then saw this. At the price I didn't think I had a lot to lose.

I have connected an HD source to a 50" HD 3D plasma and the result is marvellous. The picture is crisp, sharp, bright and natural. Sound is great.

I can't think of anything negative to say, it just works. Oh... why would you spend £70 plus pounds. Could anyone tell the difference on a blind testing? Bet they couldn't, not honestly anyway!

Most versatile HDMI cable I've ever used. The plug head swivels so it stresses the socket it's plugged into much less than a fixed HDMI lead... and the cable's flat so it was perfect for having my (noisy) PS3 in the other room while the cable squeezes under the ajoining door to the LCD in the main room. Good quality and good value. Highly recommended.

Whilst this is an amazon basic cable, it is far from basic!

the swivel head is extremely useful as the plug does not then stick out!

Not sure what else I could say about a cable, but the quality is fantastic, the pricetag is unbeatable, and my xbox runs perfectly well through to my HDTV.

Would definately recommend!

This has been a very handy cable indeed. I do have some electronic equipment with hard to reach HDMI connectors and this cable has solved that problem completely. No matter how your connectors are oriented, this cable will always seem to plug in! I can't say anything for the networking capability as I haven't got any equipment that uses it, but the cable works very well with no signal issues at all. This is definitely worth it if you have some hard to reach connectors.

This is my second Amazon basics HDMI cable and the picture quality is brilliant.
However, the 'clicky' multi directional hinges on the sockets aren't standing up to well. They are very good for maximizing the space at the back of your telly or monitor and getting the flat cable in at just the right angle, especially if you intend to box it away or hide it by some other means. But if you have the need to unplug it a couple of times (as I unexpectedly have had) the hinges just aren't up to the wear and tear this courses. One is literally falling apart, although the cable still works fine for the moment and electrical tape seems to hold it together fine.

I'd recommend this cable for devices that don't get moved around or unplugged regularly, e.g. a set top box or bluray player.
My other Amazon Basics HDMI cable has nylon casing for the wire and much more hard wearing making it ideal for less permanent jobs like connecting a laptop to a monitor or TV, so if that's what you need look else where in the Basics range and you won't be disappointed.
