So easy to install. Just plug in the satelite dish, follow some very simple instructions and obtain "Freesat" in appx 10 minutes.

If you want to use this to record from Freesat, don't expect HD. All the recoding is done through the scart sockets and not through the HDMI lead. You pay a lot less for a basic set top box that will do what this box can do. Good side, the picture quality is good and its easy to set up and use.

My purchase of this item was to replace one exactly the same that stopped working at 5 years old. Cheaper on Amazon than the price quoted by my tv engineer and as I had been happy with my original purchase I went ahead. Also offered an extra years guarantee free when I registered the product with Humax

What a great product this is. As soon as connected it gives all of the right messages. Ease of setting up, good menu system and best of all a huge improvement in picture quality when compared with any contemporary Freesat tuner that I have tried. HDMI connection may be a part of the reason because I am using an HD ready display and have never seen picture quality like this before. Do I really need full HD? Probably yes but for now this is great. Recommended without reserve.

I bought this having read reviews of similar products, most of which commented on software problems - freezing etc. I have had this item for a month now and it has performed perfectly. The installation was simple and the quality, particularly the HD channels, is superb. The programme listings and sub menus are excellent. Value for money. The only criticism I have is that you cannot add channels manually eg if you want to watch ITV1+1. If you do this, you lose the other channels. I contacted Humax technical support and they advised that you can only receive what is being broadcast in your postcode area. I overcame this by entering a London postcode and got more channels! Of course, this means that you will "lose" some local content - such as regional news, but this is not a problem if you are able to switch to Freeview. Overall, I am very pleased with this item.

Easy to set up and use. Superb picture quality.
Can change from Freesat to Non Freesat reception and receive a multitude of satelite broadcasts.
