Had a Toshiba DVD tv before that got struck by lighting! Just ordered this one to replace it. It's cream not white. DVD rattles, buttons on control designed by someone with their brain in back to front, nobody can work it. Shame we had got rid of the packaging as I'd like to return it and we don't use it as everything about it is so poor.

I knew from the previous reviews that I read that the sound was not going to be top drawer so I was not disappointed when I got it going. After a couple of weeks though there appeared a purple shadow on dark scenes. I contacted Toshiba and they said it needed to be looked at by a technician. I contacted Amazon and they quickly supplied a new set and collected the old one, and said if it occurred on the new set they would refund the money - first class service. At the moment the replacement seems to be fine...fingers crossed!

It's good enough for the purpose I wanted it to fulfil. I have it in the kitchen linked to my Humax PVR. The screen isn't brilliant and the picture is too dark from some angles but it cost very little and I've adjusted the brightness so that it's OK from the position I mostly watch it. My husband complains about the tinny sound quality, but that doesn't worry me too much.

Excellent picture. Very easy to set up. My daughter wanted a small white TV with dvd and Freeview for her bedroom. This ticked all the boxes.

We've used the TV with DVDs and X-Box, the picture quality's excellent.
Installation was a piece of cake, "plug & play".
It's a good looking, sturdy piece of kit - we like it in white (and it was cheaper than black).
We've not used with TV programs yet, that wasn't the reason for buying, but we have no doubts that it'll perform equally well.
OK, the sound's not going to fill an arena but, with the addition of some basic, low cost speakers (including woofer), that transformed it and the sound quality is top-class with no distortion at max volume.
Adding speakers is not essential though, it's just that we had them "gathering dust".
As an extra TV, for a bedroom / kitchen / child's room, it fits the bill 100%.
If you're just looking for a compact TV / DVD combi then this has to be a serious contender.
The remote keys are a tad fiddly but so is the "keyboard" on most smart phones - need I say more ?
We've only had it a couple of weeks but already we so pleased that we decided on Toshiba, as a KNOWN & trusted brand, rather than one of those much cheaper "UN-knowns" with an attractive-sounding-pseudo-Nordic name !

I can only praise this seller, prompt delivery and remarkable customer service. I ordered 2 of the Toshiba 22" TV/DVD combo set's in white as a Christmas present for my son and daughter. Steve at Cheapest electrical is really on the ball as far as customer service is concerned, I had a problem with one of the TV's (a rumbling DVD drive) and no sooner had I contacted Cheapest Electrical about the problem I was contacted by them (Steve) asking which day would be best to have a replacement delivered!!! Now I know from experience that even the main retailers/manufacturers are way behind this standard of service. Long story short, replacement TV sent and faulty one returned - absolutely painless and triple A* service, well done cheapest electrical - all others need to follow this example.

Did my reseach before purchase & read that the sound was a bit thin, but as it was just for the bedroom to watch the news & and an odd DVD when doing the bedroom cleaning it ticks all the boxes. Not a TV for a large space though.

My son was so happy with this on Christmas day. He's got it set up in his room with his xbox, and it seems brilliant quality and a great price.
