I bought this cover as a temporary solution for my new iPhone 5 until I found something better, but months on I still am using this one! I get lots of compliments on it too, very simple and functional.

My only qualm is that it adds a bit of bulk to the phone so it looks more like an iPhone 4 than the sleek iPhone 5.

The case is prone to Scratches, I've been using my case for a couple of weeks and it the clear back gets covered in scratches, it does protect the iPhone well. It is a good case for the cheap price

This helped when phone was dropped when we had the ice - the phone was fully protected. Screen protector not all that brilliant as did not fit i-phone 5 properly

This i phone 5 cover is practical and easy to use. It made from pliable plastic and doesnt take up much space over the actual phone. This cover is great at protecting my phone from damage

I didn't know at first about this "AmazonBasics" series but the cover came up in a search and it was exactly what I was looking for - very simple, slim and provide good access to the keys, mike and camera - what else do you need from a cover.

It also arrived with a bonus antiscratch screen cover - although the placement was tricking and I ended up with bubbles and might need to replace it.

Good from Amazon to introduce its own brand

Although I was after a basic case for my phone, I did not expect the product to come pre-scratched on the clear plastic already.
I have the black version of the phone and the scrapes/scratches on the case are really clear and noticeable. I know that the case is designed to protect against this sort of thing, but I assumed that I would be the one making these and not the Chinese manufacturer.
The section that covers the speakers/lightning connector is also very flimsy and will move with ease, so it is like not having any bas protection.
On the plus side the side buttons are still easy to use when in the case, which is thin enough to fit in a mobile sock as well.
I will be getting another case and keeping this as a backup.

I ordered this when I heard the iPhone 5 scuffs easily. It has kept my phone well protected and for a cheap price. Delivery was rather slow and it arrived with a few scratches already on it. This didn't bother me because it was cheap and done the job. The only annoying thing about the case is you really need to press the lock button hard for the phone to actually lock/unlock. Other than that does the job and looks good!

This is a really simple case that fits snugly around the iPhone 5. It protects the back of the phone from scratches and also looks after the corners in case of any knocks.

The screen protector supplied is difficult to apply accurately and it bubbles up, so much in the end that I gave up on it and have left the screen uncovered. With the tough glass on the iPhone I'm hoping that isn't a big problem!
