good TV.
My only gripe is that I need to turn it off on the mains switch as there's no off button on the TV, only a standby option.
Still it's very good.

I have been looking at getting a replacement for the old Behemoth of a Sony TV that weighs about half a ton. So many of the sets on offer seemed to have poor sound but the reviews on this set were almost all positive. So I took the plunge as the price was good. I also have an LG computer monitor and reckoned if it was as good as that I would be happy. It is. Easy to set up. Good picture, decent sound. Haven't tried the USB socket but I watched a film on it and was most impressed. Sadly the Television can't improve the load of old rubbish that constitutes most of the programmes but you can't have everything. Assuming it proves reliable then I have no hesitation in recommending this set.

We were looking for a TV to go in the bedroom, and came across this LG at £200 on Amazon. Hadn't seen a 32" set that cheap so decided to give it a go. Having given it a thorough test, my observations are as follows:

Plus points

Great TV for the price
Pretty good picture
Sound very acceptable for a flat screen TV
Easy to set up and use
Has 2 HDMI inputs

Minus points

Obviously an old design (we have had several LG sets)
Not full HD (720p not 1080p)
No optical audio out

As Sky is only broadcast in 720p, the resolution would only be an issue if you want to hook a blu ray player or X-Box up. Otherwise, great TV. Would have given it 3 stars but an extra one added because of the value for money!

Hi,

Very pleased with this product EXCEPT that the HDMI/SCART etc are all on the back and facing horizontally so unless your wall mount bracket stands the TV off the wall by a couple of inches then you will have to do what I did and cut a hole in the plasterboard to accommodate the plugs! Apart from this - very happy with picture/sound and generally.

I. Own the previous model of this tv and bought this for my parents when their 16 Harold t. Gave up.

Works great, looks great, nice pic and amazing price. Takes 5 mins to set up with sky, remote and all other attachments

Well worth it.

LG TV technology is widely known. That's why we went for it. At £300 budget, there were few other 40-42 inch LCD TV options like Samsung, Hitachi, Panasonic and Toshiba. Samsung and Panasonic were HD ready. Hitachi and Toshiba were full HD but couldn't get away with the reputation of LG. Therefore, LG was a clear choice for me.As I read in other reviews and also late found out that the lacking is not having a stereo audio output. We have got this TV in our living room which is quite big for a month. We are happy with the performance. It would have been an excellent choice if there was an audio output; no idea why they didnt add it because surely that wouldn't increase the cost a lot.

Still, I would say at lower budget, this LG TV is a clear winner.

As said by other reviewers i cannot fault this TV for the price.
I also own an LG 42LS5600 and there is nothing between them even though it costs £115 more.

Excellent quality TV, thinner and lighter than a sony bravo I bought a year or so ago and picture / sound quality easily as good. As other reviewers have mentioned the lack of headphone socket and only one scart possibly a drawback for some but for the price well worthwhile if you can live without these features,anyway a cheap 3 to 1 scart adapter solves that issue. Another good feature which my Brava and big Panasonic doesn't have is that the TV horizontally rotates through a limited span which is very useful for minor angular viewing adjustment without actually moving TV.
Delivery however was disappointing, I paid for express [before 1pm delivery promised] as this was a present for in laws and wife intended taking it over to her folks at lunchtime and it arrived over an hour late...by which time she'd gone...small issue you may say but paid extra for the advertised premium rate service and let down....Citilink! Won't be falling for that one again. My advice order a bit earlier and opt for the free delivery!....wish we had.
