TV was easy to set up, very good picture. No complaints so far, so I have no reason to not recommend it

By no means is it the best tv on the market but definitely one of the best in its price range therefore i have given it 5stars for value for money.
I have a Regza LCD Toshiba in the other room and by comparison this Samsung UE40EH5000 has a much better quality picture. I watch Sky Movies HD on this TV and it is a pleasure to watch.
Also it has very good sound quality. This is not the thinnest of LED TVs so i guess there was no need to compromise the sound quality as with other LED and LCD tvs.

My only regret is not getting this in a 42inch size as the 40inch appears to be a little too small for my room esp due to its thinner frame size. Also for a little more money you should get one with the Smart function for internet connectivity.

Good points:
Excellent Picture,
Economical (use energy saving functions)
Excellent Sound - no distortion
USB slot - Watched MPG video files and movies

Bad Points:
None-Swivel stand. Surely a swivel function should be standard for any tv?

Well what can I say, first tv arrived with a damaged/cracked screen and I though ok this happens the odd time, must just be very unlucky. Then imagine my shock/horror the next time when the replacement had the exact same problem! It is quite frankly disgusting that this has happened and with such a well regarded tv too I can't believe it but the fact remains I will now have to continue looking for my 'perfect' tv and it will most certainly not be a samsung!

A vast improvement on previous tv,better viewing,better sound,better all round.
Would not hesitate to recommend this as a second set,or a fist if small surroundings.

I like this TV. This is a nice TV.

Bright, modern, minimal bezel area, clear, etc. etc.

For the price you really cannot go wrong. There's a small bit of ghosting on fast paced high contrast scenes, but honestly you dont pay attention to it or notice it.

The one downfall of the TV is it's stand. It's a fixed stand (as in it doesnt rotate). This is a bit annoying if you need a TV that you can swivel to face different couch from time to time. (as in, When playing xbox i like to have the screen pointed directly at where i'm sitting, whereas when watching a movie i'd point it at the room)

Pros:

Excellent display
Excellent sound quality (although I have now plugged in my Logitech Z906 system into it)
Very good settings and adjust ability
USB Memory pen can plug straight into the TV to view pictures, listen to music and best of all to watch movies and videos!
All the ports I want, audio optical port for sound, HDMI ports for my Xbox and PC and an Ethernet port (which seems to only be for digital teletext)
The built in Free-view is very good and offers 4 channels in HD
Slimline design

Cons:

I didn't buy it sooner

Bought this as a TV for my bedroom. Picture is excellent (better than my living room TV which is a Samsung LCD), Freeview HD channels are great too. Great TV.

A quality value for money TV. My Mum had one first then I ordered one.

My only bugbear is the lack of program info. available has you move though the channels. This info is available via the Info button however - it would of been nice to include this automatically.
